London East Aids Network

In 2002/03 I was once again commissioned by the Krattiger Rennison Trust to work as resident artist, this time for London East Aids Network.

During the resulting workshops and seminars with LEAN’s clients and staff, I concentrated on nurturing participants as artists in their own right.

Rather than just teaching them random skills and techniques, I tried to draw out of them the images that they really wanted to make.

Parallel to this, participants modelled for a series of action portraits which now decorate LEAN’s Walthamstowe premises.
